Minimalistic drawings
inspired by nordic nature
Hans-Christian is strongly inspired by Nordic nature, especially Iceland's violent geological forms. With ink and crayons he transforms the dramatic impressions from the nature into minimalistic and powerful drawings.
HANS-CHRISTIAN MATHIESEN is originally educated as an architect from the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
He has always painted and drawn beside his work as architect, and has since 2014 been a member of the Gribskov painters.
